Best Practice is the standard that our industry uses to guide itself when considering questions of managing heritage and the significance of that heritage. Best Practice has been codified by heritage and archaeological practitioners over the past decades to ensure that all those who participate in our industry understand what is required of them. Ainsworth Heritage always works to best practice standards for all projects at all times.
Although some regard best practice as a standard only to use when its suits the client or only when reasonable and practical, an ad hoc use of Best Practice is anything but. We at Ainsworth Heritage cannot and never will condone the selective application of Best Practice within our industy and so have provided these pages to those who wish to apply it. Please use the information in the following pages in the way it was intended: for the betterment of all through the protection of our heritage through responsible heritage assessment and management.
